How to create a Chinese ink effect with Photoshop from any illustration

Hello!

Today I want to show you how easy it is to create a Chinese ink effect in Photoshop using any illustrations you have.

To create the example I used one of my bamboo watercolor illustrations from my Chinese paintings package, which you can download here: https://crmrkt.com/GJm67W

You can also use your own illustrations, but remember to scan them at high resolution and take the time to clean the files until you have transparent background like me.

In case you want to skip the video and just follow the quick instructions, here you have them:

1.Open your illustration
2.Select Edit – Define Brush Preset…
3.Give it a name and save
4.Select your brush tool and choose the new brush, it will be the last one.
5.Paint with black color and…
Voila! You have created a Chinese ink painting effect in Photoshop
Wasn’t it easy? I really hope you have fun using Photoshop brushes to create Chinese ink effects

Feel free to share your designs with me or ask me any questions you may have.
Remember that you can download my watercolor Chinese paintings here or find any other watercolor clip art ready to use in my Creative Market store: http://www.creativemarket.com/claudiaorengo
